I know a guy who uses a heap of flecktarn gear. Not sure how well it works in the bush, but it looks pretty awesome

if the USMC can get around the hassles of having to administer 2 camos for its troops, then Im sure the army can too. And probably the smartest and most cost effective thing for the army to do is to simply switch to marpat. you can see from the pictures in this thread just how well desert marpat appears to work in afghanistan: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f22-...s-helmand.html

I mean I think they should stick with the normal UCP for the soldiers stationed in Nuristan etc. where its very mountainous and where the UCP really shines. Also the UCP was sort of designed for symmetrical warfare (at least it seems) since the colours were used to reduce the soldiers UV signature or something like that. Personally the new UCP looks sort of cool (I actually made something like that in Rainbow Six Vegas 2), and I don't like the look of Multicam, but I guess its not about being cool but being effective. Either go with Multicam or make a desert UCP and a woodlands one.

Allegedly thats exactly what Russia has allegedly done.

Allegedly.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

But ours is 0.0379% more effective in the specific type of mud found in 18% of Afghanistan!

And it only cost $43 million to develop!

Dont you guys have something laying in storage from forgotten, not digital times that can be used as a stopgap? I mean, why spend another batch of money to develop something that can only be used there and then when back in time you already had such a thing?

But then the contractors wouldnt be able to snort coke with 2x10000$ hookers....

I think this camo thing shows the US intent to stay in Afghanistan for a very long period of time, any guys signing up,keep that in mind.

i just find it daft that they would spend so much money developing an entirely new pattern, and one that looks like sh*t.

theres a good reason why crye multicam is referred to as 'airsoftcam' as airsoft players love it cos it works!

and if the US army is so keen to keep its digitalness why cant they just digitise multicam?
