Default America new toys

I was reading in this magizine and the US is meant to be employing a new mortar kind of thing. It looks like a tank but is guided but satilite and fire 6 shells simultaneously so who every gets fire upon gets PWNED


Edit: User was warned for "Useless/unhelpful" posting ... why does this make me think about that darn Bird is the Word! song

i think it was popular science or popular mechanics don't know the name but on sunday il scan a picture tell you the name. they are also getting some robots that use like xbox 360 remotes as controls

I've heard of the xbox controller before, seen pics too.

Quick google search gave me this: us army remote vehicles using xbox 360 controller? on [technabob]

It's a good idea. The controller is already known to many of the soldiers and i've gotta say I prefer the xbox controller over the ps3 (and before any fan boys jump in screaming "my one's better than the other", I have both so i'm not biased...). Plus the technology is already there, smart call from the US Army IMO.

Also, they already made Xbox controller compatible for window, and it's one of the best controller that you can find for it's price.

I doubt the US Army would use Windows as it's OS on it's high tech kit... You'd be just bout to get the important bit and it would freeze/bluescreen/die because it's crap. But you are right about the fact they're very cheap and very accessable.
