It may not be big news that Russia is manufacturing tanks, fighter planes and missile launchers... But this time they are filled with air.
Video in russian: Ïåðâûé êàíàë. Âèäåî The idea is to make job harder for enemy intelligence, as these fake vehicles can produce a heat signature and are hard to spot fake from long distances. I dont know about you, but I'd order few to my back yard! |

I think the "dummies" was used in WWII, but I think the heat signature is something new

The British Army own these too and have done since WWII, they where used on Op Granby a lot, during the deception plan
We use them also on exercise for Recce and Tgt ID etc ![]() . |
