To answer the original question, the BMP-1 and BMP-2 are more common than the BMP-3 (not just in the ME though).
BMP-2 Armored Personnel Carrier - History, Specifications and Picture - Military Tanks, Vehicles, and Artillery Army Guide - BMP-2, Infantry fighting vehicle I believe "BMP-4" is just another designation for a BMP-3M which is visually similar unless it's equipped with optional ERA.
