L85A2 New version Variant

There is a post some where about the SA80 having a ACOG scope in coming soon but at a recent arms fair i found this photo of shows the parts that can be put on the new version of the SA80 and that doesn't look like an ACOG scope to me, i think it looks nice, shame the new rail system is being made by a UK company because it will probably break

i have nothing wrong with it but it will break becasue they did it on the cheap typical MOD

Yes the MOD are known to use cheap material when making weapons and so forth.

Tends to be money orientated, when buying in bulk they can save millions by getting the cheaper option. If its an urgent operational requirement (UOR) then there may not be the option but to buy the most readily available item at the time.

I'm not sticking up for the MoD, I know how procurement works.

Looks fugly IMO. Probably better for CQB though, doubt a fixed 4x scope is much good for short range engagements...

Anything can be fixed with a roll of duct tape and a big enough hammer.
