honestly don't understand why people wouldn't want to optimize an already stellar weapon system even more. Granted rails are ugly, but if you can put a flashlight, laster sight, and an optic on it, why not? only going to make the soldier shooting it more effective.
Based on the picture above, take off that collapsible stock and put on like an AKS74U folding stock and I don't see why that wouldnt function the same, if not better. |

As long as my weapon does it's job. Sure having optics help.
I just can't it when your total amount of mounted accessories weighs more than the damn rifle! Practicality first. The more tacticool crap on my weapon, the more weight, the more things that can break. ![]() It has an EOtech....it's a reliable weapon system. I'd rather have the variant with a slightly longer barrel. ![]() I like the masada too. The old hold outs are also nice. The FAL, M14, AK series. Out standing weapons. Real soldiers rifles. |

M4 may have a adjustable rifle stock but ak has the best firepower so i say that Russia is lucky to have the best rifle in the world for now

you fail to see what they are talking about , they are not comparing the weapon systems themselves, just the stocks so the AK's power has nothing to do with it. and the "best weapon in world" comment is highly subjective.

as for the penetration of 5.56x45, the round likes to break in half and fly everywhere making it a nasty thing to get shot with. | |
