NATO would use equipment most common in all member countries including the non-trivial US NATO contribution. |

Challenger 2 MBT (well i'm patriotic aint I!) Infantry Carrier: Stryker Ground Attack: A-10 (only one I know) Air Superiority: Eurofighter SMG: Gotta be the MP5 Machine Gun: PKM (jk) Minimi Transport Chopper: Chinook (with fast ropes  )Light Utility Chopper: Not a clue Gunship: Longbow @ Clypp: The F35 will be entering service with the new Elizabeth Class Aircraft carriers the UK has on order, so it's really an international aircraft. |

I'll do an EU list then, as people like to be pathetic, sorry, "patriotic" and say "but technically, so you're wrong".
Assault Rifle: G36 probably, not much of an expert on rifles MBT: Challenger 2/Leopard 2A6 Ground attack: Tornado or the Eurofighter in CAS profile Air superiority: Eurofighter or JAS-39 Gripen SMG: As said, they're mainly used in a specialist capacity so there's no real need to standardise them Machine Gun: Minimi (LMG), GPMG Transport Helicopter: AW-101 Merlin Attack Helicopter: WAH-64D Apache True about the F-35 too, Britain and the USA are both Tier 1 partners with access to software, hardware etcetera so it's not something you could say is solely a US aircraft As for serving on the new carriers, hah. We'll see, apparently Britain's looking at scrapping the F-35 (again) and navalising the Typhoons, which would just end up costing more in the long run (converting to STOBAR, changing the decks from a ski-jump and waterproofing the airframe/systems et al). Edit: I could swear someone asked if the EU had any form of the Stryker, the answer to that is.... Maybe. Britain selected the Piranha V (the Stryker is Piranha III/LAV III)as part of its new FRES programme. Feck knows why they wasted all that money picking between three or four different types of vehicle when they could've got it off the shelf for much cheaper. |

The hk416 would be standard assault rifle no doubt. Maybe the g36 but hk416 is starting to get popular
