lets hope no more countries get dragged into this otherwise we might have another world war at our hands.

BTW anyone know how many of those T-80s the russians have? and if they can stand up against a Challenger 2, Leopard 2 or M1A2 Abrams?

Explosive Reactive Armor, ERA. When a projectile strikes it, it explodes negating some of the force of the projectile.

99.9% sure that jet is a Su-25.

And in answer to your question Marco, T-80s are roughly in the same class as western MBTs, but the backbone of the Russian army is still mostly T-72s, an all around inferior tank.

russian forces towing away US humvees seized from georgians in poti

we are all used to seeing old russian equipment being blown up or taken away by western weaponry or vehicles so i do find it quite interesting seeing a BRDM towing away a hummer dont you think?

wonder what they will do with them? maybe stick in in a museum as a trophy

well, assuming that russia doesn't already have hmmwv's, they are probably going to test it to find all of the weaknesses and flaws. Getting your hands on other countries military vehicles is never easy, and studying them can be very beneficial.

It is the soldier, not the priest, who protects freedom of religion; the soldier, not the journalist, who protects freedom of speech.

I think I speak on behalf of all US and Russian soldiers in saying this, present and future; Drop dead.

Scary thing is I think that there are politicians in both the US and Russia that are as deluded as you.

Force recon, with English skills like this? You better put some more effort into basic things like grammar and spelling before you take the ASVAB, or you might find yourself doing something less glamorous.

Frankly, I hope the military has higher standards than what you have to offer.
