Canada to buy Israeli UAVs, Equip Griffons with sensor package and miniguns
The Griffons are being upgraded for Afghanistan (6 to be deployed) and for security at the Olympics in Vancouver 2010.

interesting, i would to see the CF buy some more heavier lift capability helicopters but depending on what the role for these overseas will be they may just work anyway.

That's an aptly named UAV... with those long tail booms it does look somewhat like a heron. An obese, strangely shiny heron, but hey.
