Quick question regarding US Army

Does the US Army use the M16 rifle in any form anymore beyond mere training?

I believe they use the M16A2 and some A4s (?) for non-combat/support roles.

The US Army does use the M16A2/A4 on the frontline.

This basicly means that a MG unit or mortar unit use the M16, not the M4. If I got it right.
