Found this image while posting for the French Fuckup thread, with an SRTA round on it;

Short Range Training Ammunition.
Basically, it fires out of current weapons but has an effective range of ~25 meters. Allows live fire exercises (real firing of bullets, reloads, etc. etc.) without the restrictions and safety considerations of using live ammo, allowing training to be had at many more locations.
