MREs can be eaten cold; the food is precooked. They're just better warm.

Such is life.

The heater pack? You put the meal pack in the heater sleeve, then pour in some water and wait about 10 minutes for it to heat the meal. Works pretty well. But it's not required for the meal to be heated before it's eaten, just recommended.

I tell you what should be disgusting, but is semi decent, Chicken Sausage and Beans. 50% Chicken fat, like 25% chicken skin, but surprisingly nice! Especially at 4:30 in the mornin!! Also Oatmeal block... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Fruit Dumplings = sick

Syrup brick = alright, but does get a boring after a while!

Some of the new stuff isnt bad, some of it is awful. Where is Gordon Ramsey when you need him.

The new tuna things are nice.

Breakfast:
Sausage and Beans - ok
Burger and Beans - ok
Bacon and Beans - good
Corned Beef Hash - not so good

Lunch
Biscuit Browns/Fruits - Lets not go there.
Pate - Disgusting (Chicken and Herb is ok)
Tuna's - Like them

Dinner
Curried Lamb - Really nice
Lamb Hotpot - ok
Beef stew and dumplings - ok
Rice Pudding - ok
Fruit Dumplins and Custard - ok
Chocolate sponge pudding - not good

Misc
Yorkies - GREAT!!!
Sweets - good
Oatmeal Blocks - Good
Drinking Chocolate - nice
Tea - ok
Coffee - ok
Orange and Lemon powder - Bad
Soups - ok

On the whole the current rat packs are ok, and like I said, I hope Gordon Ramsey does something about it.
