Non-Line-of-Sight Launch System (NLOS-LS)
Non-Line-of-Sight Launch System (NLOS-LS)
YouTube - Future Weapons: Non Line Of Sight - Launch System (apologies for the future weapons clip, we all know its mostly full of shi* i hate all that dramatic presentation style.) Personally i prefer this mobille NLOS cannon, mobility ftw. YouTube - Future weapons - Super cannon |

I couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing, futureweapons man's voice drives me a little bit more insane every time I hear it. But both systems look kinda neat, the NLOS cannon a bit more useful though. Seriously, what's the point of a box parked in the middle of nowhere if you have to drop them off their first? lame.

I am sure the Future Weapons guy is smarter than he seems. Remember that the show does have to be dumbed down for the lowest common denominator

At like 1:02 isn't that part of a video where the jet drop's a bomb on a group of people? Not very descriptive but if you see the future weapons video and seen the video im talking about, you will know what I mean

You could disguise it as something else, you could conceal it in a building with a false roof. It could be probably buried in the ground. It could be dropped by parachute as easy as a C130 drops ammo supplies for troops, and will certainly add some serious accurate firepower compared to a pallet of mortar bombs. Its all about cargo capacities, so its square shaped, enabling vast ammounts of them if necessary to be built up and delivered in the same cargo shipments as the MRE rations. Imagine that in PR, in a wooded environment. Something only a bit bigger than a rallypoint, delivering hits to armour as powerful as a laser guided bomb. It would be a nightmare, and perfect for those horrible times as infantry when you are out of range of artillery, and needing fast response and don't want to or can't wait for fast air to get there. | |
