SHOT SHOW 2008 was over the weekend. This is a collection of pics I found show far. Many new products were announced. More pics of other news products later hopefully.

We watched a demonstration of the SWS.
The butt pad was removed in a second, the bolt was removed in a second, three bolts were turned a half-turn and the barrel dropped out. The new bolt, barrel and butt pad were re-installed in seconds. From .308 to .338 in about 15 seconds total.

Excellent.
*Pulls on white Armani jacket, slicks back hear and slips on a pair of raybans*

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

I've always wondered about the accuracy of those quick change barrel rifles. Do they maintain the same sub-moa accuracy as fixed barrel sniper rifles?

We at Desert Tactical Arms are proud to debut our rifle system at the Shot Show this year, our booth number is 23115. We invite everyone to stop by and check out our Stealth Recon Scout (DT SRS) sniper weapon system. The weapon is a bullpup design which makes it very portable and compact.

Key Benefits
1) 1/2 MOA accuracy is standard
2) Our system is 11 inches shorter than conventional rifles
3) Quick Caliber conversion between 243 win, 308 win, 300 win, and 338 LM
4) Rugged, it was designed and built to be as tough as any other system out there, there are no gadgets or gizmos on this rifle. The rifles are performing flawlessly in subzero conditions. We also conducted the standard military drop test and it passed with flying colors.

Here is our 338LM with 26" barrel+muzzlebrake next to an M4

Our guys cross country skied with the rifles and they loved them, this is a picture of the 338LM.

Dude, sweet pics. Thanks for sharing. SHOT show is cool stuff, but most of it is the people in the firearms community trying to come up with the next big thing, which doesn't really work that well. Neat ideas nonetheless.

just a quick question, but is there a difference in performance between the triggers of the AUGSteyr/Colt Delta, vs. regular triggers? i just noticed and it seemed the AUG seems to be totally different. Does it really matter or does one barely notice it?

What we look for depends on what we think. What we think depends on what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true.
