So, I've heard the Humvee is being replaced. What's taking its spot?

Ive just recently read that the first death in a had just happened. The guy was in the turret and did not know if the cause of death was because of the explosion or if it was due to the vehicle flipping over.

How can the good old HMMWVs be replaced?

I don't think they will replace the HMMWV completely, as they are a bit too large to perform the light cavalry scout role and are very top heavy. Another vehicle would have to be developed to replace the HMMWV in that capacity. The MRAP is not the panacea, and the enemy is already adapting to them, so it should be just another tool in the bag, with its use based on METT-TC.
