I thought I heard that soldiers found the Land Warrior gear annoying and its uses not worth the extra work.

on an individual level the land warrior was a disaster, too much money and too much technology and information for a soldier to use effectively by himself. not to mention there were reports of severe motion sickness from prolonged use of the single eye HUD.

the idea now is to spread the whole landwarrior concept across a squad and having just team leaders outfitted with the fancy GPS sytems instead of every soldier lugging along 10lb of extra gear
