To deny all the qualities of a being is equivalent to denying the being itself. A being without qualities is one which cannot become an object of the mind, and such a being is virtually non-existent.

This sort of technology is amazing for ambushes but could never be used for moving vehicles.

Anyone find me a video of a tank moving pretty much anywhere offroad without a huge plume of dust behind it...not to mention the sound of the engine & tracks.

This has already been introduced into PR.

If you get into the gunners seat, turning off the drivers seat engine. You automatically turn it on and friendly troops cannot even see the tank on the map.

And why not cover the tank in mirrors that would make it hard to spot and pinpoint while its moving. Certainly allot cheaper.

edit: the bending light also covers heat imaging because what u are actually detecting with the thermal camera is infrared light. So it bends infrared light to. Problem solved we got totally invisible tanks.(unless u have a sonar then the tank is screwed)
what so stick alot of mirrors onto a tank ? and some how bend all the light into a direction that people cant see...... ummm ..... like some 1 said , if it was that easy it would be happening already , also sticking mirrors to a tank is patented ?

One mirror facing the "right" way might be difficult to spot.
A bunch of mirrors on the surfaces of a tank, facing many different directions? Yeah, its a giant discoball.

Edit: Patching the light from one side of a tank to the other is theoretically a good camoflage. But it certainly does not remove any heat/ir-spectrum-radiation. Laws of physics, and all that stuff.
Camoflage is more about pretending to be just another rock than hiding.
