Yeah, I know what you meant Bob. The IFAV was a good little truck. The main problem was that all the controls were in german. The transmission was still pretty standard (P R N OD D 2 1) although the letters were different, but the transfer case was all weird. It was like, "Ok, put it in High-lock." "Which one's High-lock? Theres a G, and a K, and is that a Q?"

No, most British farmers have them because our uber-reliable Daihatsu Fourtracks and Izuzu Troopers are finally begining to die of rot, they're out of production so the only thing left that isn't a softroader is the old landie. In fact I'm not even sure that its most British farmers right now.

They're often unreliabile, but they're usually fairly easy to fix, they're uncomfortable to drive (ever wonder why farmers always have the drivers side window down? because your right arm is either crushed flat against teh door or out the window), you need an optional extra to have decent rear visiblity.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
