Not a robot - unmanned remotely operated vehicles like current UAVs.
Operators are always in the loop
I'd be against robots as well and not for the OMGZ TErMInATORZ reasons

The Abrams is constantly being upgraded. Every time one goes into the repair shop it is fitted with the up to date technology and armament. So unless you are talking about the Abrams being phased out to make way for a whole new platform then yeah...

Not sure. More money could be made by simply making a completely new model.

I dont understand how that would really be an upgrade the engines they have now are freakin brilliant.

they could get so much more out of those turbines than they do they just have em tuned down because they really dont need it.

The FN2000 is an electric battery powered gun that isn't ready for combat yet,so trying to make an electric engine for an Abrams is even more harder to make. And wtf,the U.S. ARMY has never said anything about retiring the Abrams,it's the best in the world, they've never said that...That copy and pasted article that was first posted is soooo wierd...

Also, they might be able to reduce the weight by replacing heavy parts with lighter, equally protective composites. Less weight=more mobility=good in urban enviroments.
Actually the Abrams is renowned for its rather quiet engine. I mean for a tank.

One is none. Two is one.
