Canadian Camo
They have the best, it seems
there are three guys in this picture! ![]() this one looks pretty cool- if he was laying flat, it would be pretty hard to see him. ![]() just seems to blend in so much more than anything other than a Ghile Suit. The US Army Uniform looks like a deer hunting jacket by comparison. lol... ![]() |

The problem is that the Canadian soldiers in the first pic have on forest camo for the forest and the second pic they have desert camo on for the desert... on the flip side, the US soldiers have on the all purpose camo in the forest...?
To correct this argument here are the real US and Canadian type camo: Canadian: ![]() ![]() USMC: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yeah you're totally correct
But the bottom pic I had was of the US soldiers in the US Army uniform, not the USMC MARPAT uniform, which I believe is worlds better. |

lol..
yeah i think the new army and airforce uniforms are kind of crap. in some cases the bdu is better mar/cadpat are definately the world's leading edge patterns. i really think tho that some kind of chameleon like material should be next. |

Are the digi's really that much better than the old "wavy" style?

The longer answer is this. The old "wavy" style was developed after WWII and Korea to help our troops hide in the jungles of Vietnam. The only problem is that it relied in large splotches to hide our soldiers. The thing about that is that the human eye will search for and easily recognize patterns (one reason why the SF soldiers had "Tiger Stripes" besides to allow them to stand out). It was however and improvement on the old olive drab uniform used back in WWII/Korea. The Marine Corps saw this as a problem and wanted to fix it. With the help of computers they developed MARPAT. It was designed to break up the outline of the Marine. In doing so it makes them much harder to spot as you get further away. Another reasonfor the change is that they wanted to stand out from Army soldiers. The Marine Corps has a history of the enemy thinking, "It's the Marines, oh sh!t!" Quote:

I never knew the USMC had an urban pattern. Does anyone have photos of the uniform in that pattern?
