No the 40mm six shot grenade launcher is the M32 MGL. This is the XM29 or OICW.

Because of weight and size issues the XM29 was put on hold and divided into two weapons. One of these was the XM8 which included some features from the 5.56x45mm weapon. The other is the XM25 which is basically the grenade launcher portion including the electronic sight but using 25mm airbursting ammunition instead of 20mm. If the components ever get light enough development of the XM29 may be finished but with a 25mm airbursting weapon.

The XM8 is going nowhere at the moment as the military is looking at different options to replace the M4, M16, and M249. The XM25 is still moving along and may enter service soon.

Oh yeah I remember the OICW thing from Delta Force 3. Looked it up ages back, god that thing was f*cking heavy.

What was wrong with the XM8? Sounded ok.
