This weigh savings allows for the carriage of additional armor and other life-saving or important equipment

That is the part I love. Now that it is lighter, lets make it heavier again.

I have read stuff about how the HMMV have problems because the chassis wasn't designed for all the weight so I'm wondering if the suspension and what not was beefed up to handle the armor and other life saving gear or if they just reduced weight with composites and now will load it up to it's previous max weight, continuing the problem.

This is a bit late when the military is already moving to new MRAP vehicles.

I wonder if PR is going to deploy the humvee replacement in a future edition?

The HMMWV is not going to be totally replaced for many years. It will still be used to move supplies and men back and forth just like the old jeep was. It is only being replaced in this armored car security role it is has been forced into.

now what we need is composite weapons.

you could save (literally) 3 or 4 pounds on the m16 if you gave it a composite stock, rail, handgrip, mags, and receivers. replace all the aluminum parts with CF or Composite. Besides, it would look damn cool.
