little question

okay, this is really a small question, but seeing as we have some folks here who serve or have served in the british military, what do you do with lefthanders (rifle-wise)?

From what I've been told they're simply taught to shoot right handed.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

El_Vikingo: Bob_Marley, the level 70 pimp, will satisfy your needs.
Many thanks to the Forum's no.1 hottie for the sig pretties.

Bob-Marley is correct.

They are taught to shoot right handed. Otherwise the cocking handle takes their noses off.....

It's probably annoying for people to have to learn how to shoot right handed but it's not too difficult. My dad is a lefty but in school he was forced to sit in a desk made for right handers and learn how to write with his right hand. Now writing with his left hand is just unnatural.

Thanks luizinhuu for the find

the question in terms of serving doesn't apply to me but the answer is that you get the cartridges in the face.

Is it possible to retrain your right eye to be dominant. I'm ambidextrous, that is, I can shoot well with both hands, but cannot aim well using my left because my right eye is dominant. I've never heard that it is possible to retrain this, anyone know?

Same as you Dyer, I can get a nice shot off using my right eye and right index finger, but with my left I'm a little weak.

Doesn´t all armies require soldier to be able to fire both ways? I know the Swedish Army does, we had quite a lot of training doing that. Mostly for use in urban environments, being able to shoot around corners without exposing you whole upper body is essential.
