i think the usa could do that aswell, not very difficult
also, china would first need to find all the satellites, something that is not that easy, and secondary, satellites are not vital for an f-22 to lock on to an airplane

well, seeing as the chinese plane would still need to get at least into visual range, it wouldnt hurt the f-22 as much as ecm would hurt the j-10. also, if the f-22 electronics would be disabled (for which you would basically need an emp blast) it would just crash on the ground

okay fictional situation:
1) f-22 flies in chinese airspace to hit a vital target.
china manages somehow, to block the f-22´s radar with electronic countermeasures for lets say 10 minutes.
to counter the f-22s eccm countermeasures, the chinese could jamm basically all available frequences, so that their own radars become usless, but lets just say they dont and it really works, the f-22 has no radar (remember, this probably wouldnt happen, because they most likely wouldnt even know that there would be an f-22) for 10 minutes.
but that´s it, they still wouldnt know where the plane is and even if they´ve managed to come close with a j-10, the f-22 could easily outrun it (provided it would notice the j-10).
2) a j-10 enters american airspace, to hit a vital target.
the plane isnt´t equipped with any kind of stealth technology.
2.1) it would easily be registered and destroyed
2.2) it would be equipped with massive ecm techology, but i doubt it could counter an awacs plane or so

China did nothing new here. They took an existing product, copied the design and made them cheaper than anyone else can. I wouldn't be surprised if their failure rate is 4 times that of equivalent US F-16.

i never ment to start some kind of "z0/\/\g teh -j10 is teh 5ucks" thread - i just wanted to point out that the plane is clearly inferior to western air superiority fighters - but still, i give china credit for the j-10, basically their first modern fighter ever - just that they used a lot of foreign technology (engine, radar and so on)

while some say it is a copy of the israeli lavi, i dont think so - it doesnt take that much time to copy something, also they use quite different components, like russian engines and stuff - oh, and i dont think that it is a bad fighter, probably could keep up with an f-16
