You know what is amazing, it looks just like something from medieval times. Some designs never die. Talk about full circle.

That stuff should definetly be issued as soon as possible. Though I can see British troops getting it any time soon, they just got new Osprey armour, and the MoD is never keen to spend money on anything.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Yea that is impressive, especially that it can take repeated hits and continue to stop them. Most plates in body armor break after a couple hits.
Shit they could make almost a suit with that. You could have the vest, a pair of thigh pads and a helmet with something like the scales incorporated. |

40 rounds of 7.62 @ 20ft = No penetration.
Same vest 150 rounds of 9mm @ 10ft = No penetration. So thats 190 rounds hitting the same vest and nothing goes through! http://www.pinnaclearmor.com/video/ak47-9mm-outdoor.wmv |

I saw a vid that blows these others away. (No pun intended)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...67169430383501 The part where they are going full auto from 10 feet away is impressive. |

a little drawback would probably be that without ballistic plates a shot would pretty much hurt - and render you incapable of doing anything (also, we already had a thread about this ^_^)
