belgium to buy 220 atf dingo 2

apparently belgium will buy 220 atf dingo 2 with an option of additional 132 vehicles.
with this purchase, belgium will be the third country to use the dingo, along with austria (which operates it since 2005) and the building country, germany.
it seems like belgium will chose the dingo over the pandur6x6.

here´s just a little list how tough this vehicle is:

this dingo hit a 6kg russian anti-tank mine in afghanistan - the "passanger compartement" effectively withstood the detonation (there were two lightly injured soldiers, because of the shockwave though - not the detonation).
the over 8 ton heavy vehicle was moved two metres to the side by the explosion, which created a caldera with a diameter of 2 metres and a depth of 0.5 metres

this one was attacked by a suicide bomber during a convoy at kunduz, afghanistan. none of the passangers were harmed, though sadly 2 people died and 8 were wounded, amongst them 4 children. the strong explosion happened some 25 metres away from the vehicle

plus some other incidents involving ieds and enemy gunfire, worst thing that happened were some wounded - i´m quite fond of this "little" vehicle XD

The Dingo is damn tough. And its good that its getting more users. But you might want to host the pics yourself mate, that site dosent seem to like hot linking!

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Many thanks to the Forum's no.1 hottie for the sig pretties.
