That is really neat. I wish I could see that stuff.
Lots of that stuff is really well preserved. And is that some sort of shell in one of the pictures? |

![]() The photo above is of US 155mm shells, various types. If I remember correctly, most of the artillery guns from that time and region were 152mm. Using an unknown foot as a reference in measurement doesn't do jack shit though when you don't know the approximate shoe/foot size. That could be a child's foot, or a 7-foot giant's foot. Judging by the construction of the shell though, it is most likely in the 15xmm range. And yes, there have been shells MUCH larger... ![]() ...Such as this Japanese 18-inch shell intended for use on their uber-battleships. Now that's pimp. As for the vehicles in the primary topic's story, I'm really amazed to see that many vehicles left in such "decent" condition. I am going to assume that they were discarded on government land, or else those vehicles would have been picked clean by salvagers. | |

Man, I wish you could find that kind of stuff standing around over here.
The radar vehicles (I think?) looked pretty interesting inside. Looks like most of them were command/intelligence/radar vehicles, the ones left behind anyways. I wonder how that shell ended up there... |
