It might be our 3rd carrier, nuclear powered, with Catapult.
But the some core technologies are the problem. (Every Chinese military otaku knows it and discuss it over and over, including possible solutions.) I got this news from "BAIDU" news section, sometimes news from there are not reliable.

J-15 is the copy of Su-33 for sure,(They bought T10K from Ukraine) and PLA combined it with their own technologies, J-15 and Su-33 might look the same at last.
Here is another uncomfired message: J-20 might be onboard too.

All of those messages are found from "BAIDU".

Can't see how the J-20 could even fit on a carrier, let alone take off

http://www4.picturepush.com/photo/a/...x-shinshin.jpg

Length:
J-20: 21.3m
F-35C: 15.7m
F-35B: 15.6m
F/A-18E/F: 18.3m

Width:
J-20: 12.9m
F-35C: 13.1m (9.1m folded wingspan)
F-35B: 10.7m
F/A-18E/F: 13.6m (has folding wings)

LOL, They are resizing it, making it smaller.
But I think J-15 is one much logical option yet.

So is this thing still floating, or did they turn it into an artificial reef yet?

You just never know what Chinese are cooking. This partially answers it why some people are afraid of them.

And oh my wouldn't that EM field cause trouble with radars and stuff like that. So much electromagnetic resonance can severely screw up instruments, and make carriers easy detected by early warning radar systems? I hope they thought of that one.

I can't think of a single CTOL aircraft that has been converted to carrier use that is significantly smaller than the orignal CTOL version?

This isn't 3DsMax where you can just select the jet and use the scale tool hehe. Significant parts like engines, weapon bays, cockpit etc all need to stay the same size and other parts have to be significantly re-designed to be smaller.

Your better off making a brand new jet from scratch.

I said, it's not confirmed, maybe a rumor at last.
And Aircraft research facility in Shenyang and chengdu is possibly designing the smaller J-20.(Still unconfirmed.)
Here is the original post:
"前段时间报道,‘成飞’研制歼—20(比F—22都大不少)和‘沈飞’正在研制的歼—20缩小版,不排除 歼—20缩小版会上舰的可能。 "
But don't expect J-20 and our carrier will be good, there is long way to catch up the United States.

Just mentioning a small set of reasons of why the west mistrust China so much. H.sta is right 'though, political debate in the PR forums has been.... let's called it "outlawed".

If you like we could discuss it in the separate News and Political debate forum here: News and Political Debate - Index page
(Which btw, we should get more serious in keeping it active. We oughta try promoting the website a little here and around the web).

LOL, I'll lost the debate because I am so silly to talk about politics, but I'd love to share my thoughts and translate thoughts from our grounp.
