Abu Musab al-Zarqawi Dead

Reports coming from the Iraqi PM that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been killed. No word by whom or what happened, Litterley just breaking news.

Wonder if this will help makes things better or worse in Iraq?

Confirmed dead by US air strike.

Wow

Wow. This is truly amazing.
I'd like to take time to honor the fighting men and women who serve and protect, and kill or capture terrorists such as Zarqawi.

IMO it makes things much better. The insurgents just lost their C2. It would be like during Op. Iraqi Freedom Tommy Franks was killed.

This is a great day for the Iraqi people, and U.S + British. Service men and women.

sure, we can kill him because things are heating up in Bosnia. He was brought out of the CIA's freezer, defrosted and placed under a bomb.

Apparently it was a joint operation between US and Iraqi troops with Jordanian Special Agents involved.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

lol, I loved the report that it was a 'joint' US and Iraqi airstrike. You watch your back when the Iraqi police are about, never mind giving them fighter jets

Good news for Allied Forces and the Iraqi population. There may be a few retalitary attacks, but what's new? The main thing to concentrate on is ensuring the terrorist network connot easily or quickly replace him with another nutcase with a bread knife. That said, there's still Shia tribal warlords, Sunni people opposed to the occupation and the insurgency getting all jihadi. Locking down the borders then dealing with internal threats is what needs to happen, while the political types shuffle their paper about and scratch their chins

I heard on the news that he was still alive when they found him in the rubble but that he "died" shortly afterwards....
Wether he was "helped" along or succumbed to his injuries was not clear.
