Served as a NCO of a heavy weapons attached to International Unit's, aka non Muslim(mostly Dutch, German, Russian and Brit squads) serving in the Bosnian Army until wounded, then wounded again.
Missing left lobe of lung, two ribs and extensive jaw and teeth reconstruction after run in with the butt end of a Pecheneg and the lad that swung it. 12 dental implants, Teflon plates, metal plates. also 4 feet of small intestine, plural sack and other bits removed. Fused vertebrae and a blood disorder from dissolving grenade fragments. I work in a cafe manager now and am a writer. |

Served 4 1/2 years in the USMC as infantry.
Majority of time spent in 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon, Kilo Co, 3/5, 1 MarDiv Two double pumps to Iraq - 11 months each. |
