US Aid Ships "Could Withdraw" From Myanmar Coast

Gates could withdraw Navy ships after Myanmar 'neglect' - CNN.com

Guess they're tired of waiting.

Thoughts?

I think its sad that the government is willing to let their people die than get help from the US.

France already did the same thing a week ago.

The Junta over there don't really care who dies in their country as long as they stay in power. In short, as long as they are the last men standing everything is ok.

Shame that just invading the damn place would be too much work. To be honest, if they're not allowed to help, there's better stuff for them to do. Must be damn frustrating for the people onboard though.

Actually I heard Myanmar is abundant in natural resources. That might explain why we are so "concerned" about the people there. Oh I know I'm a cynic right? Maybe I should be more naive then I'd be a hell of alot happier that's for sure. Ignorance really is bliss. Sadly the world isn't buttercups and candy canes and good vs evil like our rulers want us to believe. EDIT: Just want to clarify I'm not ranting at you ScarFace just expressing to others in general fashion.

Rich in resources ...ahh ...another potential "client state" eh ?

Then why have we not staged an incident and attacked them ?

Perhaps because while I think it is precious stones they export they really are not that important in the scheme of things and nobody wants to lose people trying to get food in.

Of all the places that need to have their leaders forcibly removed for the greater good Burma is pretty close to the top of the list.

But they don't have oil or nukes so we are not going to lose people trying to police the world.

And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.
