Norwegian forces kill 13 Taleban

A 10 day offensive in the Daghis province has left 13 Taleban/rebels dead. The biggest Norwegian operation so far, has lead the relatively newly arrived Telemark battalion through it's baptism of fire.

Lieutenant colonel John Inge Øglænd, say that the magnitude of the battle resembles the one undertaken in November, where 50 were killed.

The forces used aerial bombs, mortars, CV-9030's and 250 men. There were no casualties, as the heavy weapons kept the enemy out of range to respond.

There is no information about the other nations participating (do we suspect ze Germans might have been tangling along..?), but the ANA and other NATO forces were present. The operation was lead by a German general.

The operation relieved many Northern villages from Taleban, that had been denying them help from the central government. The Taleban has now fled and the area is left to ANA control. They will remain to protect supplies of food and water drilling.

Not a lot, no. The North has, generally speaking, been pretty peaceful.

The 9030's are pretty handy i heard, the bushmaster is a tidy bit of kit. I wonder when they will get the heavier calibre upgrade like the UK IFV's will be getting? Good work norway, i look forward to seeing you guys hunt around for some news footage.

I believe one or two have gotten killed one in an ied, that was an emotinal story actually either save your badly hurted mate or leave your dead best mate in the car wreck. They was just freacking driving to the shooting range.

Its nice to have allies helping us!, i feel sorry for our troops being with american troops, from what i heard, some british regiments dont like serving along side american troops because they're trigger happy cowboys...while the british are more professional soldiers and can actually shoot and kill an, enem y soldier, unlike the americans can!...no offence to any americans on this forum ^^;;
