I'm sorry, but I have a hard time believing that there's 67 million satellites in orbit.

Depends on the definition of satellite. In terms of what we think of as satellites, as in technological imaging or communication objects put in orbit by rockets, of course not. But little fragments and waste, etc. are also considered satellites.

Well, "spy satellite" seems like a pretty specific term to me, one that's not encompassed by "space debris" or "space junk". Maybe he misspoke , or misread the numbers, but as it stands that seems like one of those bullshit statistics you read, like when people say that you only use %10 of your brain.

90% of statistics can be made to say anything 60% of the time.

Yes that is the price of freedom, yet at the same time it wouldn't be the lack of a scanner that caused the deaths, but of course you would rather treat symptoms of a problem and ignore the cause, or say it can't be solved and use band-aids on cancer.

And it's OUR freedom.

to be fair, using scanners does not preclude treating the causes of these problems also.

And I wouldn't want to be the person telling the 10 families about their dead loved ones.

I imagine a politician under extreme pressure to do something might go a little crazy with this idea, but since under the current laws in britain we can be searched without cause...its a bit late.

But I believe in freedom also, so as a subject of the crown I would be adverse to allow this kind of legislation to proceed further than its current scope.

Respect the R-Staff, they are pretty...pretty badass
