Excessive patriotism is grounds for a warning.

This thread goes any further in that direction and it goes into lockdown.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

El_Vikingo: Bob_Marley, the level 70 pimp, will satisfy your needs.
Many thanks to the Forum's no.1 hottie for the sig pretties.

That woman had no idea what she was talking about, she used delusive words and high pitch endings to every sentence. Crap journalism.

Comparing them to Delta force is kind of foolish in itself, seeing as they where trained by them without the history and experience of the said mentor unit.

The fact that Iraqi special forces are now operational puts into doubt that the SAS are still in Baghdad, unless they have been training US and Iraqi forces themselves.

Keep it civil Viper.

I don't see why Iraqis are trying to emulate US special forces. You should not train units to operate the same way internally as abroad, its just foolish. You choose people who have support in the areas they will be operating, not people who are trained to kick down the door and shoot first. Soldiers are not cops, and vice versa.

Well all the best to them, but IMO if a country wants a truley good special forces unit they should learn them selves or partly (yes partly) off other Spec. focres not just train EXACTLY the same as the SAS for example.
THey should establish their own ways and means learn what weapon is good for the job what uniform works best in the enviroment not just be told/given equipment.
I highly doubt they have reached ammoungst the worlds best yet though.

Again i dont think they are up to Britsh, German, Swedish or any other decent special forces simply because they lack experience.

LOL at this entire thread. I'm loving the same 3 britons that keep barging into every thread and whacking off to the SAS when the thread hasn't even discussed them.

This thread is so far gone, anyways, good to see the Iraqis have taken another step towards controlling their own country.

For you guys saying they lack experience, I'm pretty sure they have plenty of experience, seeing as they have been doing this for coming up on four years now. I bet that they have a lot of practical experience.
