Lets see if they release the equipment and vessels this time.

Why should they do that?

But If you are giving one present to country (which tries to attack you), why not to give two of them?

So after a week of tensions, after "attack" on iranian embassy in Basra, false map, british threats in massmedias ... they are free to go?
Wow ... a very good diplomatic decision.

Neocons would need another excuse for a new war. But dont be afraid thay will find something.

But anyway ... it seems like a good end for those soldiers and for their families (Iranian diplomats captured by US in Iraq are not so lucky, just like their families.)

Truth needs no law to enforce it

The only possible reason I can see Iran releasing the hostages is not because of "diplomatic negotiations" but because of a threat of force. Would you honestly keep hostages if you had the USS Nimitz and R91 Charles de Gaulle aircraft carriers anchored near your country? Especially with the U.S getting into the fight and France agreeing it would take action (I think).
Anyways, all I'm glad for is those sailors getting out alive and hopefully well. Kinda strange as I just finished reading a book about Operation Barras and the RIR where the hostages refused to talk to the media to send out a distress message.

I AM NOT ALLOWED A SIG UNLESS I SHOW I CAN BEHAVE MYSELF

Aye. Shhhh before we invade Slovakia too. Maybe we'll meet in Iran in a few years time when I'm teabagging your mates.

I only believe that when I see them back home.
Can't trust Iran, they can still change their mind and keep'em.

Was only a matter of time really, I would not have expected the Iranians to try and use this as a pretext to bait an attack (although some of the hardliners in Iran certainly wanted this). Whether you like it or not, I think Iran played their diplomatic cards with surprising skill and patience. It would appear they're coming out on top of this particular propaganda battle.

Aha! They forgot to mention something in BBC article!

Apparently when push came to shove, London ended up sending the letter Tehran wanted. Admiting that the Royal Navy had indeed entered Iranian waters and that they were fully engaged to making sure this type of incident never happens again.

Guess Iran was telling the truth afterall, either that or Britain just wanted to "give em what they want" to get this over with, whilst not really meaning it (but I somehow doubt they'd categorically lie through open diplomatic channels like that - then again it wouldn't be the first time). Eitherway I'm glad to see this was handled diplomatically.

Another article I missed (also published today the 4th of April)...
They all (US, UK and even Iran) claim this has NOTHING to with the release (not sure I really beleive that but ooookay)...
