If the iraqi's want a civil war let them kill eachother. You cant help people that dont want help.
We might aswell take a little break, we will be back in a few years anyways. |

I dont think this is a mass withdrawel becasue its gone tits up. I think the idea is to start pulling the majority of our guys out and leave the new Iraqi military and police to deal with areas under there control. Were still leaving a small contingent of troops as back-up though. Anyway, sod Iraq, Afghanistan is fairly hot at the moment. Id be more conserned with the guys there.

Denmark is doing the same now with our few 500 soldiers in Iraq. They will withdraw before August this year.

Norway doesn't have any soldiers in Iraq. But we have a 100 or so in A-stan. Not so long ago, they - and their camp - came under attack by some sort of insurgency, and the Brits rushed over to help them out. Thanks to the Brits, they took no casualties.
However, SV, one of the governing parties here, are demanding that the troops are not to be moved from where they are if any of our allies experience a crisis somewhere else. Life or death? Let someone else take the resposibility. I think it's a tragedy. |
