I can understand why it will be a great idea to include the marines.

First of all it sets the Dutch faction more apart from the other blufor factions and gives the opportunity to launch amphibious assaults as something else than the USMC faction.

It also brings new theaters of war and scenarios to PR.

the point is obvious... its the same point to why it would be nice to have the Royal Marines and the PLANM in etc, its just a lot of work epically when you consider the factor of an Assault Ship / Carrier to launch a Amphibious Assault from.

Yeah Z man is spot on

Ever since BF1942 midway, wake island, omaha beach and iwojima in vanilla bf1942 and DC/DCX ive been hooked on amphibious landings

For a LPD to be modelled we have plenty of time, like mentioned earlier army first, marines later and we can use the essex as place holder like all factions do

We would not allow the essex to be used as a place holder... No other faction is using it apart from the USMC and as such, you will need to make a LPD before you can have a finished Amphibious Assault map in PR.

Don't get me wrong I am looking forward to do a proper beach assault the Dutch way. And its a good thing that you don't want to wasted modelling time by waiting for the maps to be finished.

Go on and finish this mod and the Marines fast, But Quality first.
