how many marines does the Netherlands have? are they more along the line like the U.S. Marine corp or the Royal Commandos?

In total we have 6 batalions.

1st Marine batalion (1 MARNSBAT) located in Doorn.
2nd Marine batalion (2 MARNSBAT) located in Doorn.
3rd Marine batalion (3 MARNSBAT) Caribean ( Dutch Antilles, Aruba)
Combatsupport bataljon (GEVSTBAT) located in Doorn.
Amphibic support batalion (AMFOSTBAT) located on Texel island
Logistic batalion (LOGBAT) located in Doorn.

Its not really like the US Marine corp. They have everything they need. I'd say its more like the Royal Commando's but there training does not involve all commando thing. We still have our own Dutch Commando's. But thats not the Dutch Marines.

I must say first I thought it was a April's fool joke but then again its allready the 8th of May... NICE! I'll try to speed up my mapping projects so I can map for you guys! Can't wait to land on a white sand beach fighting the PLA ! Pls keep us posted!

Good to know, but keep in mind this is for when the Army faction is done we first have to complete that before we can move on to the next thing.

But that doesnt mean you cant start on a community map

Show us you got the skills and ill send you a sketch i made with my l33t mspaint skills for a beach assault /jungle map.

uhh....Doorn is not even close to Rotterdam, its more near Amersfoort.
Anyways As a soldier in the army Im forced to say I dont like the marine Id... Just becose they are marines.. . J/K good luck with that, Ijust find it to early to announce.
