[Request/Suggestion] DF player models

Hi,

2 suggestions when it comes to player models:

I've been looking at this topic: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f203...r-skins-7.html

And i wondered, couldn't you better replace the ANA soldier skin (not the uniform!) with the face of an insurgent. Because i recon you are going to use the insurgents as the enemy right? Wouldn't it be a bit odd if the ANA soldier looks different from the Taliban insurgent (Who's also Afghanic...)

Among the US(MC) troops there are Afro-American soldiers. And i know the general view on the Dutch is a milky white skin, blonde hair and baby blue eyes. For the ones who are Dutch (Me!) they know this is bullshit and that the Dutch community has a lot of different nationalities. I suggest that one or two of the basic player models (Officer, Rifleman Iron Sights, Rifleman Optics, Rifleman Specialist & Combat Medic) will have a different look (Black or Middle-Eastern look) then the standard (white) soldiers.

imo this is only a problem for those who in my opinion look different ethnites to be different. for me, this isn't an issue as humans are humans no matter the colour.

I don't think MCI means Dutch people are racist (I hope so). He is just saying that in European armies there are not only Caucasian type people serving into army. Indeed I'm French and I can see many people from different origins in our army : Asia, Africa (Noth and Center) and others.

The question raised here is very interesting but the problem is that many European community mods use European skins from Bf2:Euro Forces which has not "not white" skins...
Maybe a new job for DeVs...

bringing ethnic divercity to our faction at this time isnt high on our list, maybe later because we got our hands full atm.

first time i realized that on ejod sitting in a truck full of afroamericans...the only euroamerican (!?!) was the squadleader, sitting behind the steering wheel...it was like:; PHOCK OFF, EA/DICE/BSS must be racists....but then i thought about the reality aspect of the game... we all might be equal, but at westpoint some might be more equal then others, depending on daddies financial status...how many afroamerican officers do you know/see on battlefields? how about the british army? or german? i bet it is all the same...once u promoted to sergeant the elites start kicking your butt so hard that u feel like a private again

how much does that bother me ingame: nada niente zero null....but it could be a nice surprize to see some latino marines sitting next to me in that truck next time...the world is full of nazis, fascists, racists, demons and ninjas...and so is the game

btw: why there is no british africans ingame? i have some british baracks only 500 meters from my home here in bielefeld (iirc it is apa/ala) and i quite often see some camouflaged carribean guys here in my supermarkets...kinda strange: they buy frozen pizzas only...the food they get served must be horrible, i guess

Well I do Think that there might be less density in black people serving in the NL than Black people serving in the USMC. But It isnt that big of a problem now is it?
They have African-Americans we have Afghani's..

Its not that we dont want to make them, its just a thing to do once we are released and making a update, it wont be a afrika tan but more a surinam tan.

Allright, i'll keep you to that for the next public build after the first release because (I think)it's quite an imporant thing.

I think that's quite important. It looks just weird when you see an ANA soldier next to you who doesn't look the same as an other Afghanic who is shooting at you. that doesnt seem right.
