[Map] 09:11 Zulu [WIP]
I wanted to try out mapping. Have no experience with it (well, apart from below), so.. not sure if this will actually be a map, 'cause it's the first and well, many, many things will probably change, hehe.

Try to make the bases of the hills bigger. Right now your valleys are just plane and your hills stop too immediate. let them run out slowly
also make them more uneven ( i usually use the random tool for that : dont make it too strong and not too wide and what i like to do additionally is to make it "Rise" only...(that way your terrain wont change too much) , then use the "smooth" tool (not too strong and wide either or your hills and the unevenness will kinda vanish. It looks like you used t-paint ...what i dont like is the green and the sand colourtexture...i would remove the sand and make the green not that intensive keep it up |

Fully agree with that. The terrain is much too smooth indeed. Haven't really tried the random tool yet (well, once, but I accidentally created huge pillars in my terrain, hehe, had it all maxed out I'm also not so satisfied with the green/brown-ish color on top of the hills. Just need to find a combination I like. Thanks man! @Romagnolo Nope, that's not a russian hand |

Size of the map? Asset tanks? attack choppers?
Would love to see a new good map with tanks and attack choppers on them. We only have kashan desert and battle for qinling and yeah, well, gulf of oman.. witch is just a bad map for attack choppers. And qinling asks too much of my ram (4gig) |

I can run Quinling just fine with my 2 gigs of RAM. And yeah i agree, we need more good maps with attack chopters

Well its only bad when i am the gunner and in the tv mode. I think its because all of those trees because i had it as well on OP Peach.

You're a chopper whore
If I succeed in mapping and the editor doesn't hate me too much, it will be a map for mainly infantry, but of course with the aid of transport vehicles and perhaps some apc's and transport choppers. Not planning on adding tanks or attack choppers at this point. Size: 1024x2 Gamemode: AAS Factions: Dutch vs Insurgents Virtual location: Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan. |

Is this map going to get a large (Basrah Int. sized) airfield?
For the rest look like a valley level, will you let a small river run right trough it with poppy/marihuana field next to it and then changing the terrain to rocky hills and mountains? |
