Ongoing mission to rid the beluchi valley of Taliban by Dutch and other ISAF forces.

Dutch Colonel Nico Geerts Monday said the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was preparing 'a special operation' in the Baluchi valley in the Afghan province of Oruzghan.

In an interview with Dutch radio station BNR, which had been screened by defence ministry here, the commander said 'a special anti-Taliban operation' was in the making.

Geerts added the planned operation would be part of a larger operation in Oruzghan province.

In June, Dutch and Afghan military fought a heavy battle against hundreds of Taliban fighters in the valley.

Geerts denied reports that thousands of Taliban had taken over the Deh Rawod region. The Dutch colonel said merely 'several tens of Taliban fighters' were active in the area.

ehhhh you know a map concept is a little more than just a real life event (where alot are not even real life events)?

Have you considered what game mode will it be?

Have you considered flag layout if its AAS / CA?

Have you considered team starting potions and assets?

Have you considered how the map will play out, where the major chocke points will be etc?

There are loads of things to consider when making a map concept, its a little more than just "right this battle happened in real life so we are going to make the terrain and hope it works!"

Right, and first of all, please translate that into english. The very first rule we list in the forum rules is that all posts be made in English.

Its not something i wrote up myself, its a news artice, next time ill translate it but this text is just to long for me to spend my time on translating since i am at work atm.

Map layout for this will be insurgency since the mission was to sweep and clear the baluchi valley, uruzgan of taliban weapons caches and taliban presence (spawnpoints)

Team starting point should be a big base representing Kamp Holland at the end of the valley, insurgents should have a number of spawnpoints and weapons caches spread through the valley.

The terrain wont be intirely accurate, just a basic valley as seen in the picture and this will be adjusted to enhance the gameplay offcourse, its not our intention to make exact maps, but more based on those specific area.
