Cool [Map] here is the early design [WIP]

ok heres the specs

Personal notes: ok look, this is a W.I.P. so theres allot of unplaced roads, buildings, and other things, including shadows. But this is the basis layout and also, just as well I know how to make x4 maps work, just got to make use of the terrain culler and turn the sticted lod's to 0 so as long as it is a night map or a day map without any air vehicles it should be fine. Anyway the map is only 16% completed but it is going faster than I had expected. Just as well on the subject of the city, well...its gonna be big, like really big but that takes time and as of now the city is only 12.37% completed but I do believe this is going to pay off. So for the German forces I will pour my hours into this great map.

Map Name: Unknown (to be decided by mod leaders and/or community)
Size: 1024 x4
Factions: PLA vs. Germany
Sky: Its exactly the same as Bi Ming (pitch black night)
Map Desc:
(basic and to be extended and/or shortened)
USMC moves into region taking the regional airport, due to an intelligence report that reveled a scheme of civilian uprising. As soon as the USMC forces moved into the regional airport the uprising was quickly silenced.
(maybe a version that is day and is insurgent or rebel so something)
Thus nightfall came and with it a major blackout, thus in the confusion the PLA army moved to capture the oil resources of the region, unfortunately neither faction had known that either adversary was in the region.

Wait wut? PLA vs Germany? +1 for originality!!!

Looks like a start, but a 4km map for infantry only makes it beg for some light vehicles. Otherwise, good luck sir!

Even in infantry only, they have to get supply trucks don't they? I'm not sure the map description makes that much sense but I love you for making another night map.


I die a little on the inside everytime I read someone misuse the word "hardcoded".

really cool, but we will need light transports at least. maybe airborne map? then you do not need transports for sure at least for one side. anyway good luck!

well on the most part its fine, as there are "woodland" textures for the ME buildings to make them look more chinese, like chinese signs etc which is used on sunset city, and other probs that can be used, but things like the mosque, TV station etc is not good to use which I saw both above

mosque cos its a ME static, you wouldnt find one in china, its like putting the chinese temple in a MEC city, and the TV station is a unique static that really shouldn't be used unless it really serves a purpose which from what I can see it dont in your map.
