Heh. Have you read his comment? If he has done exactly what you have said, I would have and could have not done anything. It's his fault to let something like that slip out of his mouth. How ironic it might be, How stupid it might be, he shouldn't have made that tiny comment.

Also, the default amount of warning points for Disrespect Towards PR Team is 14. It's not my fault that his 2 points made it a 14 day ban instead of 7.

Discuss the actual topic, and not how unfair you think it might be that I banned him.

Brummy.

As for staying on-topic, I've not had a lot of experience with the supression effect. However, I kinda like it - it DOES add a degree of realism. However (yes, again) if what the mod is trying to achieve is the realism of people not sticking their head out of cover when facing a blazing SAW... why not simulate the real reason people do that in RL... they'd get their head blown off. Bring back the kind of accuracy to the supression weapons that will do that. It's not like vanilla where EVERYONE was weilding a PKM when it was lethal... there's some excellent code in PR that stops there being too many weapons of a certain type.

Anywho... let the banning commence

*shuts eyes*
the support weapons are already accurate, and u cant instill fear into a game, ala the suppression effect !

Fair comment. But I'm not sure... if you needed to run a gap/pop up to cap someone... you'd probably do it anyway... it's a game, ppl will always take risks they never would in RL (that must be why we play them). I don't think the SE is going to instil fear, then again, neither would uber-mean support weapons. I guess it's a case of finding the right balance. As I said, I don't mind it. But perhaps more dev is needed "slash" WAS needed before it was launched.

the SE dose not install fear, it forces people to act like they would under fear, find cover...

i still think people miss understand the suppression effect a few points people have said:

1. the DEVs to NOT think you go blind when taking fire.
2. the effect is NOT meant to instill fear... its a game, there is no fear.

Of course its a game and you take risks you wouldnt in real life. Thats why they make it impossible to return fire!

And like he said: The AR's are still pretty accurate!

For those thinking that a gunner could just ignore a SAW...think again.

The SAW is ungodly accurate for an LMG, with an extremely high ROF. Anyone crazy enough to step in front of that, supression effect or not, in all rights, deserves to be shot.

There shouldn't be an effect made to simulate suppression. When you're suppressed, you'll know it(millions of bullets impacting nearby, anyone?). And you'll then act accordingly, or you won't, and promptly get yourself killed.

i just dose not happen without a effect, pre .7 the only thing that could suppress was the SAW, the only gun, and that could suppress at best , 1 guy. a squad all opening up with small arms didnt suppress , people just didnt care as the picked them off 1 by 1 with headshots.... i was never suppressed pre .7, because i was arrogant, i knew that if i poped up and down behind cover the chances where i would kill the enemy, and i would go for it, now i have to stay down. thus the effect works. suppressive fire is less accurate than kill shots, why when the enemy didnt care about the bullets going pass should i go for less accurate shots when i can go for kill shots?
