Re: (POLL) do you like the suppression effect ?

It's a necessary pain in the ass because better ways of implementing the same gameplay effect are not currently possible
Removing it without a better solution would be counterproductive

To bigwookie:

Yes, but I would also still be playing 0.5 if 0.6, 0.7 and 0.75 hadn't come out! So what point are you trying to make? If it isn't broken, why try to fix it?

Why have weapons in the game that are used IRL for suppression, if they have no suppression effect in the game? Not very realistic!

the effect its self isn't realistic and no one can dispute that and IMO it is broke and never worked, its unrealistic, annoying, unfair, now brings about "cheating, bunny hopping, prone diving" and doesn't have the desired effect.

that's 7 reasons against to the 1 reason quoted for it.

Agreed, the effect is not realistic! The effect is there for game-play reason only, and it simply isn't possible to create a realistic effect for this!

Can we agree that we need an effect to simulate being suppressed? To make sure players being suppressed can't just ignore the bullets and put a bullet in the head of the SAW gunner? Which would also be very unrealistic!

Ok how about a compromise that I don't think anyone could argue with (but i imagine someone will), I'm a server admin so give me the option to turn it off/on and then every ones a winner, gamers who don't like it can play on servers without it and ones that do can play on servers with it?

Ehh no, either people stay in the community or leave.

seriously your PR Public Relations?

I don't see how people can seriously argue against it been a server option, variety can only improve the mods appeal, otherwise every server is exactly the same, same maps, same settings, same everything.

This discussion is over for me, as you can't stay on topic and must rely on flamebaits. Have a nice day.
