We are talking about "Helmand" which in general is a smallish Infantry only map - not large maps for vehicles, they are getting done, and we have a lot already I mean, "going back to our roots" and fighting dirty on foot !!!

.

ok kl sounds good!

A great map. Maybe a remake to "suit the lastest PR-gameplay".

I definitely want to see more infantry exclusive maps that focus on something other than the Sunset/EJOD urban grind. I can remember one of my fondest rounds was on the all infantry version of Ghost Train.

Jungle or forest with all infantry or at most APCs is loads of fun. The way it is with an all infantry map all you need is a good squad for it to be fun. With lots of armour and assets around you need a lot of good pilots and a commander and it can be VERY hard to find a good server like that.

Kashan is great but when all the servers are running massive asset maps at once I long for the rare all infantry squabble in something other than just a desert city.

And why do all the desert maps lack greenery? Ive seen some pretty pictures of afghanistan. Maybe you can have a poppy field and fight in and around it.

Hey, why dont you guys just redo helmand provance? make it into a 4km map, that would rock. because of the way you can hide in any of the grass be it up close or very distant and the enemy cant see you, Helmand could become an extremely interesting map.

1.Heres a couple of suggestions if you were to go ahead and try what im suggesting.
2.Same as last helmand, NO BASES (only sandbags and tents, no helipads and tank shelters). just a major spawn at the furthest point of the map.
3.Because its a large map and quite flat, extend the Battlearea and increase fog a little.
4.No choppers of any discription maybe just rovers and technicals, keep everyone fighting from start to finish.
5.Make it insurgency.
6.make it every way the same as AL Basra
7.Lots of hiding spots, lots of ambush points, lots of visual shelter and through-fire-cover, lots of ditches and mounds for cover. few walls, no rivers or streams. and two major high elevated platforms that are very very difficult to assault as the main bases.
8.Limit the bugged things to an absolute minimum.

I believe that it depends on where you are fighting. Sangin(the region which i'm guessing you saw of Afghanistan) has a lot of greenery yes, but i believe on most maps, the DEVs get like a google earth image for some inspiration, so its not all made up. Correct me if i'm wrong. So Kashan for example shouldn't have greenery

R-DEV Masaq- I'm such a dork.
Rudd - You should run for Prime Minister! i'd vote for you
Sgt.Smeg - You've the biggest I've seen Scot.
