You're joking, right?

Infantry action in PR is currently the best it's ever been.

Weapons are lethal - if you use them properly.
Rallypoints allow quick action - if you keep them up.
Destroying enemy rallypoints seriously hinder their ability to fight - if you can find them.
Vehicles pose a serious threat but can be taken down - if your squad work together.
Grenades are highly effective - if you let the enemy get too close.

Right now, assuming I've got a semi-decent squad with me, leading a squad on a map like Operation Ghost Train is usually the most fun I've had in any FPS in my 12 year gaming career.

Yeah, I agree with Masaq. Infantry is very fun in .7, a bit more complicated, but I've had some fantastically fun rounds in 0.7, at least as many as I had in .6.

Infantry combat has come a long way, especially in .7, but it's still spammy and weapons are far too accurate. Squad vs. squad engagements end far too quickly. I'd like to see more sustained gunfights and volley exchanges back and forth rather than the quick headshot and nade up the nose.

Weapons too acurate?? are u nuts.. one of the main reasons why people have moved on is because of the weapon deviation! prone spamming, thats making a come back because of the deviation. how many times have i gotten killed after sneaking on someone, shooting from the hip, he prone spamming and killing me. thats a total load of crap, the deviation is coded in a way that even if ur next to the guy, if ur standing and shooting from the hip = bullets flying all over the place no matter how close u are to the enemy.

Weapons are accurate enough to hit target from almost any visible distance. It just the way of firing has been changed to bit slower but i think it helped game to became more tactical as it should be.

And more accurate weapons would fix that by allowing you to more accurately shoot from the hip? Fixing one problem (prone spamming) by overpowering it with another (accuracy) is not the solution.

The easiest way to fix prone spamming is to use similar accuracy mechanics as the HAT. You don't see anyone prone-dive shooting that weapon anymore, do we? I'm not saying it should take 20 seconds to aim an M16, but using the same wide cone of fire and reduced time to accuracy model should result in a prone-diver's shots hitting the dirt in front of him, just like the HAT. Meanwhile, you can shoot from the hip all you want.

Think about it. Less accuracy, not more.

Combined with the blurring effects rumored to be in .8 that will obscure your vision as bullets whiz by will further make prone diving and pixel-perfect shooting while under fire a thing of the past.

Yes....its a videogame based on realism though.
If you want a more arcade-like feel to your "video game" please place PR in your recycle bin and stick to vBF2.

It was your choice to download a reality based mod.

If you dont like the attempt at realism....go find a game that better suits your needs.

Otherwise.....please suck it up and play what the DEVs provide you with.
