played for 4-5h as SM (Fools Road, 9v9 on 64 unfortunately) and SL (Counter-Attack!!! on Zatar Wetlands, without a good CO - three guys wanted to be COs, but all they could do was approving jdam attacks and placing landing zone markers...)
0.7 Pros & Cons Pros: + I LOVE the new respawning changes... i don't know if it was me, the squad, or the respawn system, but somehow it forced my buddies to stay with me ALL THE TIME + recoil, lovely - bullet spread is very cool too + new maps, beautiful and dangerous - loved when militia tank dealed with warriors and scimitars + counter strike mode - very innovative and a bit confusing even after reading the manual. I was on the MEC side and could not get close to Landing Site 2 from South East even if there were orange attack shields on them. + helicopters; i like marking LZ's idea (by CO) and ability to deploy supply crates, their descending is hmm weird... i don't recall my choppers bank left while setting collective to idle in any of MSFS's, but i guess it's something pilots might get used to and use it as an advantage. Cons: - people still don't read the guide :P ie spotting enemies on their own, wondering what those A, B... marks mean etc - jets... i managed to take off with EC200, J-10 and Mig only, every other jet just flew in the airfield fence - tried to use full length of my airstrip without any luck though. After trying to take off with those heavier ones it made getting 747 airborne on short airstrip really, really easy. that's pretty much it - i can't recall any other details, thanks DEVs! PR is entering in stage where people will love this mod, or hate it I LOVE IT :P (btw. mod freezed my pc everytime i played it for more than an hour or two, but that's technical) |

Okay... i've played three maps and i don't know what I should think about the new release. On the one side I love it. On the other side I really hate it.
I felt so helpless without the HUD - especially the map. I could follow the squadleader's orders as fast as in <0.7 because I had to open the main map to locate the orders. What I really dislike is the the 'hardware-hunger' of the new maps. The first releases I could play with my computer without lags and without problems. The new maps are really laggy. Of course, I like them because they are pretty, realistic and huge - but I can't play them with my computer (P4 3,0 GHZ, 2 GB RAM, ATI 1650 PRO with 512 mb). Thanks for reading. |

I have a good idea where [R-DEV]Katarn is gonna shove LtSoucy's opinion when he gets wind of that comment.
@LtSoucy, one note to take into consideration is, IRL aren't things that are near your face usually quite large? |

I only played one live round on Qinling, but was lucky enough to join Blackpowder and Rhino's squad, where teamwork and following orders went along naturally.
I really like there are no more silly SL *rse spawning, kit requests/rearming/resupply at nearest bush, and the absence of minimap is really giving that reality feeling, when you have to rely on your ability to use surroundings and compass to designate targets, and report it to your squad. Sound artwork is really a work of art, as are the new skins and models. I've found that flying Apache, LB, Blackhawk is much easier than 0.61, how come some are having problems with that? Keyboard flying? Sticks not calibrated or driver problems? EF2000 got taxing, flying, and landing in a first attempt, so what's the fuss? And last but not least, I've already posted this but, 0.7 is running kinda smoother on my rig than previous release, even with higher detail settings. Anyways, i expect my RL will suffer a bit more now, the whole 0.09 points and more. |

After all the crap surrounding the problems downloading this it is,I have to say, worth it.
A bit strange getting used to the lack of minimap but that's no great loss.Distant gunfire sounds are absolutely brilliant and a major improvement over .613. Game seems to be smooth after one whole map.In general Bloody good job soldiers |

through a little bit of playing, i've noticed that the PLA rifle (not the support, that thing is like a laser gun and might need to be adjusted, unless that's what you wanted -shrug-) is far inferior, accuracy wise, to the other rifles, but i will play test it more before i make the final decision.
