Not really backup, since you'd be using the rifle's own iron sights.

The sights reflect their real counterparts, but nothing stops you from using the 203 on ranges past 250m, you just have to account for the +.

Current T-72 is a placeholder for pimped out M1M version of it, which is pretty much on par with T-90.
