Indeed, its a placeholder as the actual HUD is developed.

Maybe they'll add a "cool-down" timer for the laser designator, so if you miss you have to wait set time before you can place another, etc. IF you think about it, many UAVs can laze targets in real life, so why not implement it? But RL UAV is visible and possible to shot down. So if it lazes enemy and enemy will see it, then yes, it may laze few of them for jets, but it won't fly too long then.

Now back up, where are you? Your on a boat outside of Muttrah with the potential of being the commander and using this very UAV. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's those new M16 rails and animations that you love. Look again, the M16 is NOW DIAMONDS. Anything is possible when you're patient and appreciate the DEVs work. I'm on a horse.
