Default PR:BF2 v1.4 Official Retro Map Pack Released!


The Project Reality team would like to announce the release of an official retro map pack! This map pack brings back 21 maps that were part of Project Reality in the last 11 years.
Featuring both Advance And Secure as the primary gamemode and Co-Operative gamemode for our Co-Op community, these maps are updated with latest assets and gameplay in mind. Get ready to see more of the Dutch faction and new adversaries such as MEC vs. RF!





This is an official map pack so servers will be allowed to host these maps without a password.

As part of the release, Hardcore Gaming will be hosting the map pack on their server this New Year's weekend! Many thanks for their support.

We'd like to thank authors over at Battlefield Singleplayer and Allied Intent Xtended for their work on Co-Op supported BF2 maps, some of which are featured in this map pack.

Retro Map Pack Information

There are some map-specific gameplay rules that differ from standard PR, noted below:
Spoiler for Gameplay rule changes:

Seven Gates
-PLA cannot recapture lost flags
-PLA vehicles are tied to River Fort; once River Fort is captured by GB, vehicles do not spawn
-GB bleeds until neutralizing a flag
-quick capture time for Citadel to avoid spawn camping/being impossible to capture it by GB

Airport
-German vehicle depot and vehicles spawn once North Hangar is captured

Desert Storm
-Insurgents cannot recapture lost flags
-Insurgents get nonrespawning assets and pickup kits at first three flags, respawnable assets and kits at base
-Insurgents get respawnable rally points with nonrespawning ammocaches at certain map spots
-map is "split in two" by a destroyable wall at Canyon flag, defending/destroying it is a focal point of the map
-USMC bleed until neutralizing a flag

Goods Station
-flag capture time 30s

Gulf of Oman
-MEC/Syrians cannot recapture Fort flags
-USMC bleed until neutralizing a flag

Helmands Return
-flag capture time 90s
-holding all flags except main bases bleeds other team
-no logistics, rearm/kit request only at main base

Hills of Hamgyong
-flag capture time 60s
-holding all flags except main bases bleeds other team
-no logistics, rearm/kit request only at main base

Inishail Forest
-flag capture time 60s

Steel Thunder
-holding 4 out of 5 flags bleeds other team

Street
-flag capture time 60s
-no logistics, rearm/kit request only at main base

Zatar Wetlands
-RF cannot recapture lost flags
-USMC vehicle depot and logistics truck spawn at East Beach after its capture
-a Close Support Bridge can be built between East and West Beach

Hory shet, I thought Hamgyong Hills was 1k, I remember it being larger.

3 Years of not beeing able to write on Realitymod Forums since Account creation and suddenly im able to. Why not earlier?
